If you are planning on remodeling your master bathroom that you share with your significant other, it is important that you incorporate things that will make it easier for the two of you to share the bathroom. This will make both of you happier because you will feel that you have more space of your own in the master bathroom, as well as more room to function when you are both in the bathroom together. This article will discuss 3 tips for remodeling a couple's master bathroom.
Install Twin Sinks and Mirrors
Since sharing a sink can be both difficult and messy, it is definitely a good idea to have twin sinks installed in your bathroom. If each of you have your own sink, you will be able to brush your teeth and/or wash your hands at the same time. Also, if your spouse is cleaner or messier than you, you won't have to worry about them either getting your sink dirty, or getting mad at you for having a dirty sink. Installing twin mirrors will also give each of you your own mirror to look in when you are getting ready for the day. This is awesome because you won't fight over who is using the mirror when getting ready for work, a date, bed, etc. You can purchase your mirror and your sinks from most home improvement stores, and you will also have many options to choose from.
Install Both a Bath Tub And Shower
If your master bathroom currently has either a bath tub or a shower, it is definitely a necessity to have the other one installed as well. Having a shower and a bath just makes get clean that much easier for you and your significant other. You can both get clean at the same time because one can easily use the shower, while the other one is bathing. To make your bathroom extra luxurious during the remodel, you can also consider having an extra large shower with two shower heads installed, and a jacuzzi tub with jets.
Place The Toilet In An Enclosed Area
If you or your significant other needs to use the restroom, it is often frustrating because one of you will have to leave the bathroom while the toilet is in use. A great way to solve this problem is to have your toilet moved to an enclosed area. Having a separate room for your toilet with a door that locks and a fan can make it very private. This will easily allow both you and your spouse to use the toilet while the other person is showering, getting ready, etc.
